Automatic Transmission problem #1

Consumer states transmission jerks and rattles and there is also a vibration, 30 days of attempted repair, however vehicle continues to experience problems.

Driveshaft problem #2

Front weld at universal joint, failed causing driveshaft to drop to the ground while driving at approximately 35 mph. Examination of the failed components suggests a likely fatigue failure caused by a poor weld. Weld contained sphere-shaped pores and was not centered on the interface between the u-joint and the shaft. Although failure was likely caused by a manufacturing defect, dealer has thus far denied a warranty claim citing to the vehicle's mileage. Since this weld was probably produced by automated equipment, it is conceivable that other driveshafts manufactured during the same time period may also be defective. A failure at a higher speed, such as on the highway, may result in much more serious consequences.

Power Train problem #3

During normal operation of vehicle speedometer intermittently fails, and driver cannot determine the speed at which vehicle is being driven. Duration of failure will last for a few minutes or for longer than a week. Dealership examined vehicle at 34,000 miles when problem first appeared, and replaced a fuse which temporarily remedied the problem. However, with 43,000 miles on vehicle, problem has started to reoccur. Please provide any additional information / documentation.
