Side/window Air Bag problems of the 2009 Ford Edge

Have received several recall notifications concerning the passenger side air bag in my vehicle. I've checked with the dealer several times and am only told they are not available and I'll be notified when one does become available. Why isn't the NHTSA forcing the issue on these recalls? I've seen many complaints for all years and models so it is not just limited to my particular vehicle. If this is a safety issue, enforce the requirement!.

2008 Ford Edge. Consumer writes in regards to front passenger side airbag safety recall. The consumer stated the recall repair exceeded a reasonable amount of time to be completed. Updated 09/20/2017.

Takata recall in July of 2016 I received notice that my passenger side air bag was under recall it has a takata air bag. I have called and complained to Ford motor CO. I have received no response and the airbag is still in my car. They assure me that there is no reason for alarm. They have no replacement at this time I call the dealership at least once a month to check.
