We purchased a 2010 Ford Edge because of the safety tests of these vehicles. It has since developed a delay in take off about twice per month. It is almost like the transmission is not engaged, then violently engages and lurches the vehicle forward. Last month a car had to slam it's brakes to avoid hitting my wife and children as the car delayed, and before my wife could get on the brake, it engaged and lurched the car into traffic. This is a huge safety concern, one that I would figure Ford would take very seriously since it is documented, however they refuse to admit somethign is wrong.
