2013 Ford Edge-consumer had already taken vehicle for tune up 2 months after purchase. Consumer heard bad thumping noise from back of vehicle. Consumer took it to a mechanic and was told about recall # 14v393000- power train: axle assembly. Axle shaft. Consumer mentioned the 15 yr. Rule. Consumer replaced power train, new brake shoes, and rotors. Dealership where vehicle was purchased never informed consumer before the purchase of the recall.
