Automatic Transmission Control Module problems of the 2015 Ford Edge

2/26/2016 left Edge at Ford dealer who reprogramed the pcm 3/2/2016 turning from inglewood road onto 228th accelerated going up the hill, car jumped from ~30 to 40 then shut down into limp home mode, service light flashing, pulled to the side ran vehicle health report, turned off and restarted the car.

This report is an update to complaint: 10788647. This vehicle, a 2015 Ford Edge sel with a 3. 5l engine, was repaired by a Ford dealership for a stalling/loss of power while driving issue. The dealership had the vehicle from November 5-13, 2015, and reprogramed the pcm in order to correct the stalling condition. Initially, this action seemed to resolve the stalling issue. However, in recent days the gas mileage has dropped about 3 mpg, and on Tuesday, December 22, 2015, at 7:25pm the Edge stalled will driving (not accelerating, decelerating, or turning) and the engine quit. The vehicle simple stalled and lost total power while driving. There were no warning or error lights. The only message was "full accessory power active. " I had to place the vehicle in park in order to restart, which I was able to do. Fortunately, I was not on a busy roadway when the vehicle stalled. The dealership advised me to bring them the vehicle the next day, December, 23, 2015, and the vehicle has remained in their possession since that time. This issue is dangerous. I live in a major metropolitan area and travel interstates everyday. If it stalls while I am on the interstate, the situation could be disastrous.

In a parking garage, turning right at slow speed and vehicle stalled. No warning, all was going smooth until vehicle just stalled. Vehicle restarted. Informed dealer. Dealer service department "reprogramed pcm per TSB 15-0123". Thought all was taken care of until stalled again in March. So reporting now.
