1 Defroster/defogger/hvac System problem

Failure Date: 01/15/2026

Contact owns a 2017 Ford Edge. The contact stated that upon starting the vehicle, the vehicle would hesitate and stutter with the check engine warning light illuminated. The contact also stated that while driving at various speeds and stops the heat would independently turned off and on in the vehicle. Contact also stated the coolant low warning light illuminated in the vehicle and coolant was added to vehicle and vehicle would work as intended for several months and then the failure would reoccur. The contact stated that the vehicle was recently taken into and independent mechanic for and oil change where she was informed of a coolant leak into the engine. The vehicle was then taken to the dealer who confirmed by diagnostic code and inspection that there was a coolant leak and the engine needed to be replaced. Manufacturer was not notified of the failure. Proximate mileage failure stated by contact was 50,000 miles.
