Vehicle started shuddering. Year is a 2022 so less than 5 years old. My son and I both drive this vehicle and the car starts to slow and jerk making it unsafe to drive. Taken vehicle to many shops who could not find the problem. Finally took it to Ford and they confirmed the torque converter is failing. I bought this vehicle because I thought it would be a safe family vehicle and boy was I wrong. Please make this right. I've done my research and I've seen many complaints about this same exact problem. Noone in this current economy has 11,000 to put into a vehicle I still have 6 years to pay on. This vehicle is new and should not need a new transmission.
Put gas in car. The car stalls to crank.
The day after purchasing my new 2022 Ford Edge, I was driving from the grocery store when I noticed a clacking sound. I stopped the car and looked around and under the car. It appeared that a metal band that held up a tank was dragging on the ground. I drove half a mile to my home and called my car dealer. He instructed me to drive the car to the Ford service department, about 5 miles away. I am presently waiting to receive a report from the service department. I am concerned that this is an example of a quality control failure and that it was an unreasonable safety risk to drag a gas tank full of fuel on the road.
