3 children were in the back of the car. Child sat in the middle put seatbelt in the incorrect lock mechanisms. The seatbelt would not disconnect and it jammed. The seatbelt locked so my daughter could not loosen the seatbelt to climb out and started to panic so we had to cut it to get her out. This was a major safety concern. If this had happened in an accident my daughter would have been stuck. Why do the rear seat belts allow a person to clip in, if it won’t allow you to clip out. This is a huge concern.

The seat belt on the driver's side front keeps getting locked up and won't release. I have to mess with the seat belt height adjuster to get it to work and sometimes it just doesn't which then makes my seat belt alert light and beep go off every few minutes. It's also against the law to go without my seat belt which is definitely an issue. I haven't even had this car for a year and I have not had any accidents nor did the car report I got when I purchased it state that there were any accidents on it.

I noticed that the the drivers seat belt will not retrack and is unable to be used when it's hot outside, I. E. Above 80 degrees or sot! it gets stuck and and I am unable to pull it out for proper use. This is a major hazard and it is required by law to be in use in my state of michigan. It has not been inspected but through online research, I unfortunately discovered that this is a common problem for this vehicle. There weren't any warning signs prior to this seatbelt failure. Thank you.

The seat belts in my truck especially the front driver seat does not come out for me to pull at all. Sometimes I have to drive without it. It only works about 4xs out of the week. It's very hard to pull and stops too short to fit around me.
Rear seat belt is wearing through at an a location close to a jagged Edge of a trim cover. The belt is rarely used so the wear is not expected. The service technicians gave us several justifications but finally agreed that their reasoning was likely invalid. They contacted Ford for a service warrantee justification because the repair cost is $700 (seems high). Ford is refusing to pay to repair the belt. The attached pics show the problem and we are concerned that this could be a chronic issue that someone may not notice. We would like to know if there is a process to get assistance with the repair cost.
Buckled the center rear belt into the receiver buckle of the right side it would not unbuckle . The male buckles are the same on the left and center the one on the right is different. The right male buckle will not fit the center female receiver but the center male buckle will go in the right female receiver, but you will not be able to release it. The only way to get the person (scared, screaming, child) out was to cut the belt. This would be very unsafe in the case of a crash.
Every 3rd or forth time bucking the drivers seat belt it will jam and lock prohibiting wearing the belt. To release you must continually pull belt until it stops (about 12" or so at a time) release it slightly and try to pull out more webbing. Other times it will release fully working normally. It happened one or twice about 8 months a go but the service writer at the dealer had a tech work on it and clear it. However lately it is happing frequently and will be taking to dealer this week.
The drivers seat belt locks when trying to extend across the my body. So sometimes it works and sometimes it will not release. I live in illinois where seat belt are mandatory yet there are times that I'm unable to use the safety item "seat belt". I took the vehicle to auffenberg Ford in o'fallon illinois this morning. I was told that the parts to fix it are on back order and where not sure when the parts might arrive if ever. I asked, days, weeks, months, years, or in my life time. They where still unable to give me an estimate. They also stated that there where several other vehicles that have the same problem and they o not have any idea if or when they might be fixed. So they keep selling them knowing that there is problem. Ok so if I'm forced to use a vehicle that is not safe without any recourse who is responsible? this needs to stop before someone is seriously hurt or killed.
2018 Ford Edge sport awd, 7600 miles +/-. While driving home my wife experienced an adaptive steering fault with the steering wheel misaligned about 20 deg clockwise (pictures available). Upon arrival I confirmed the fault which cleared by turning the steering wheel back and forth several times. The next morning the fault reappeared. Also the driver's seat belt fails to latch properly, takes several attempts and the driver's door is difficult to open from inside. Took car into the dealership for inspections, awaiting dealership findings.
On April 9, 2021 we found the seatbelt buckle would not latch on the rear passenger side. I notified the Ford dealership on Monday, April 12, the service representative scheduled me to bring the Edge in on April 22. On further inspection I found the seatbelt buckle to be broken. I called the dealership the next day and was told to bring it in and leave it to be serviced. The service technician inspected the seatbelt buckle and found it inoperable due to the inner guts of the buckle being broken. A replacement part has been ordered by the dealership. The vehicle has not been in any accidents and this occurred with normal operating conditions. The Edge has approximately 56,000 miles.

Driver's side seatbelt does not lock properly. It will engage then slip, the locking feature will do this both before the vehicle is on and after driving it. Occurs when the vehicle gets hot, surrounding air temperature at 80 degrees f or above. I have taken the vehicle to a Ford dealer and they have confirmed it happens to that seatbelt. The vehicle should not be driven if the seatbelt doesn't do its job properly, the risk of injury is too great. There have been no indicators that the seat belt was malfunctioning other than using the seatbelt.
Tl the contact owns a 2013 Ford Edge. The contact stated that the front driver's side seat belt failed to retract. The contact called crossroads Ford Lincoln inc. (1070 versailles rd, frankfort, ky 40601; (502) 695-1990) and the dealer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The failure mileage was 113,794.
The contact owns a 2016 Ford Edge. The contact stated that the seat belt behind the driver's side in the second row failed to retract and became inoperable. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact stated that in 2020 the passenger’s side second row seat belt had failed to retract. The vehicle was repaired; however, most recently, the seat belt failure reoccurred. The manufacturer was contacted and referred the contact to the NHTSA hotline to report the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
On warm days the driver seatbelt tensioner locks and does not allow the seatbelt to be pulled out and used by the vehicle operator.
Malfunctioning drivers seat belt that won’t extended consistently or once bucked it will inadvertently lock while leaning forward and then lock in jerky/slipping movements. The seatbelt sometimes can not even unlock and therefore cannot be used in the driver seat, putting the driver at risk in collision. The Ford service department would not recognize the problem until out of new car warranty. They have now diagnosed the problem and the new part is not available, putting the driver in a hazardous risk scenario.
The driver's side seat belt may be faulty. It takes several attempts to pull the seatbelt into place. It usually takes several tries to fasten the seatbelt. I am concerned this may be a safety issue. This has been happening for 2 weeks now.
Air bag light was on in the car. Seat belt light for driver's seat doesn't always turn on nor does it alarm even when the seat belt in buckled or unbuckled or if the vehicle was stopped or in motion. Took vehicle in for service, initially was told there may have been rodent damage and that wouldn't be covered by warranty but they would check it out. When I returned, I was told empty water bottles under the passenger seat may have moved a wire. Service people stated that the wire may still be dislodged, they didn't check that. Dealership (sheehy Ford in gaithersburg, MD) stated that it was most likely due to water bottles, therefore they didn't check to see if the wire was fully connected or not. I feel my claim was dismissed by the service center and it seems like a safety concern. I am not confident the issue has been fixed. 4 empty water bottles that slide easily under the seat should not dislodge a wire. Additionally, the dealer voided the ticket and didn't submit my claim to warranty. I am still concerned about the safety of my vehicle should I be involved in a crash. They did not address my seat belt concerns for the driver's seat.
My sensor light for diriver side seat belt shows door is ajar when door is shut. I have to open and shut door a couple time for the sensor to go off.

When putting vehicle in reverse, sony display goes blacks and displays an error message stating that the back up camera needs to be inspected. 3. Driver side seatbelt is slow to retract. Recently purchased vehicle within last 6 months and noticed some of these are common problems throughout the Ford Edge community.

The rear seat belts are very hard to buckle and even harder to unbuckle. It would be hard to get out fast if there was an emergency.
