Tl- the contact owns a 2002 Ford Escape. The contact stated that there was an abnormal noise upon turning the steering wheel in which the wheels went straight when the failure happened. The contact stated that the vehicle was taken to a dealer to complete a manufacturer recall for the eps and indicated that the dealer was to install the engine mount brackets and that the service manager indicated that the mechanic only installed two mounts which failed and that was not the correct part for the fix. The contact mentioned that months later the noise continued and upon turning the steering wheel the wheels went straight. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and they refused to provide a remedy. The vehicle was not repaired from the dealers repair. The approximate failure mileage was 228,000. Dyd.

2 Steering Noise problem

The contact owns a 2002 Ford Escape. While driving at 30 mph, the vehicle jerked and the contact heard a noise coming from the steering wheel and front of the vehicle. The check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer multiple times. The technician was unable to diagnose the failure and repair the vehicle. The contact owns a 2002 Ford Escape. The contact stated that a grinding noise emitted from the steering column while driving at various speeds.
