1 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 08/01/2020

Loss of major engine power and loss of acceleration when pushing the gas pedal to the floor. Has no acceleration power anymore like it did a year ago to now. Replace all spark plugs and ignition coils with now new acceleration power at all.

2 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 03/20/2019

The theft system randomly sounds off for no reason. The theft light keeps blinking as the key is placed in the run position. The vehicle is having issues starting and there's no sound at all when turning the key. When the vehicle does start it stalls, so the gas pedal must be pushed almost to the floor. I must apply strong pressure to the breaks, so that I can stop and not crash. The problem is not changing and other ownsers are having these same issue with this truck. I've already had the battery checked, starter replaced, purchased a new key , and fob.

3 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 04/12/2014

I cannot depress the accelerator. It occurs after around 1 mile of driving during the first trip of the day. It has occurred intermittently for the past year. I have taken it to Ford but they could not identify the problem and required that I leave the car overnight which I could not do. Today was the first day that I had to pull over to the side of the road because I could not accelerate.

9 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 04/01/2009

There has been multible instances where the gas peddle cannot be depressed. No matter the amount of pressure applied. It has occurred both at a standstill and while in motion. I have read its a possible throttle body problem not sure. First occurance was during cold weather however it has occurred during warm temps ie 85degree oustide tempature. It happens and then there is no problems for a long time maybe months, however if it were to occur during a merge this could be very dangerous and possibly deadly. Please look into this as there is already multible recalls on Fords acceleration systems in this model from prior years.

10 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 01/16/2009

The contact owns a 2007 Ford Escape. For the past four weeks, the vehicle has been accelerating on its own. The contact stated that the vehicle barely moves when the accelerator pedal is depressed. After approximately 40 seconds, while her foot is still on the accelerator pedal, the vehicle accelerates extremely fast automatically. The contact was informed that the throttle was the cause of the failure. The vehicle is currently not being driven due to the safety issue. She feels that the manufacturer should perform the necessary repairs. The current and failure mileages were 44,000.
