While closing the rear hatch, the glass/hatch exploded into and outside of the car hitting my daughter in the face. There was not unusual tension or binding while closing the rear glass hatch. Did not require additional effort to close it. The vehicle was in park, the engine was off,temperature outside approx 50 degrees. Vehicle was warm as it had been previously driven updated 11/28/11.
