Warnings problems of the 2016 Ford Escape

My rear camera and therefore cross traffic and parking indications fail almost every time I turn my car on. Ford acknowledges that this is a problem and that there is a recalled part, but they do not have replacement parts and so I must continue to drive with faulty parts.

The rear view camera does not work at times and when it does the image is distorted and discolored and it is also upside down.

I received Ford's safety recall notice dated October 2025 regarding srn 25sa9 / NHTSA recall 25v695. It has been 6 months since this recall issue and Ford hasn't made any progress in resolving the issue??? I find that extremely hard to believe!!! apparently Ford does not consider "saftey" a priority for their customers!!! has Ford received any kind of penalty for not expediting the resolution for this issue??? facing a stiff penalty is the only way a company will take notice and force them to resolve the issue before someone gets hurt, or worse, dies!!!.

The contact owns a 2016 Ford Escape. The contact stated that while reversing into the garage to park the vehicle, the back over prevention sensor failed to alert the driver of the proximity to the wall and the vehicle almost struck the wall. The contact stated that dealer was contacted about the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 58,000.

While in reverse gear, during operation rear view camera stopped working and shows error that back up camera is not available. Screen shows blue screen. It is very dangerous as it can cause an accident.

Engine control computer malfunction is causing the engine, sync, bluetooth, brake lights, and rearview camera to malfunction.

Rear view camera stopped working almost a year ago, and out of no where the transmission stopped working. I recently just got an oil change and asked for the works to get my whole car checked out and that report as all the reports before it came back with no issues. So found it surprising that this happened.
