My adaptive cruise control, blind spot warning, rear cross traffic warning, pre collision warning all quit working and just flash across the screen, my light indicators for blind spot on my side mirrors quit working, my back up camera just has a bluescreen, there is no audio so no alerts can be heard and my sync doesnt work it has the screen but wont let you hear anything so yes I drive a bit away to work not having these features has been a major safety concern I have almost backed into someone because they were in my blind spot and no warning lights or warning sounds I have perviously went to a dealership for four active recalls they only look at the powertrain one there was one about spot welds nothing was done about either they broke like within the first few months of me having the car I have never received anything on extending my warrenty partly because I moved I guess but they basically told me when I was there for the recalls I would have to come back and pay for them to look at the rest which I said I wasn't aware that I had to pay for something that was a safety concern so then I contacted the place where I purchased the car that was 2 weeks ago they still have not contacted me back after several attempt and no response I then got on chat with Ford gave them a list of what was going on and they have yet to respond either but it was read just being ignored at this point and I'm at the end of my patience these are major safety issues I haven't even had this car a maybe a year if that and no one care to help I was told there was nothing wrong with anything basically I would have to wait for something to happen when I went for the recalls.
. After activating the cruise control on the freeway for a few minutes, the cruise control deactivated and displayed the "adaptive cruise not available" message on the dashboard, immediately lowering the speed. Additionally, the sunroof interior stopped working after opening it. The bar that helps retract the sunroof interior came loose, and Ford says the repair is not covered under the extended warranty. There was also a problem with the rear seat belts, which displayed a warning: "rear belt monitor fault. Service required. ".
I was driving to work like normal this morning when an error message popped up that stated my all wheel drive had been turned off. It then gave another error message stating my hill parking assist had been turned off, and my cruise control is no longer functioning. Due to this I feel unsafe driving. This has happened to many other friends and family members that have owned this vehicle.
First Ford had issues a customer satisfaction program 21b19 was issued to all Ford dealers on April 9, 2021. Then they put out a TSB 23-2061 which my vehicle is part of but says it is not covered under warranty. There are many 2020 Ford Escapes with this issue. Seems to be just gas vehicles 1. 5 and 2. 0l engines. My vehicle was not covered along with many other vehicles. Then they even put out a the contact stated while operating the vehicle, the messages "hill start assist not available", "pre-collision assist not available", "service advance-trac" and "service all wheel drive" remained displayed. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who diagnosed that the all-wheel drive module was faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired.
Start vehicle an error start popping up, I have to cook ok to clear them. Lots of features that are not available, including hill assist, awd, cruise control. Awd module failure is it available for inspection upon request? yes how was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? yes awd and pre-collision assist are not available. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? yes has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? no were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? yes several errors start cycling through allowing the driver to click ok. Hill start assist not available pre-collision assist, not available service advance trac awd fault service required see manual.
Receiving multiple errors and Ford determined it is the awd module that needs to be replaced. However, they say my vehicle is not included in the recall based on vehicle identification number.
Awd module not working was on screen after starting vehicle plus other codes about adaptive cruise control.
The entire advanced track system quit working. Sometimes if you turn the vehicle off and on a bunch of times it will work until you turn off the vehicle.
Took in the vehicle to be inspected and Ford said the awd module isn't working. It states my awd is off and not functioning.
Two notifications come up on the screen after vehicle is started. Front camera fault service required. Pre-collision assist not available. This started right after pre collision assist went off on 05/13/2024. There has been no inspection on the vehicle.
At 25,768 miles, multiple warning messages appeared including: service advanced track, 4wd fault, no cruise control ability, no pre-collision assist, hill side assist fault, and no traction control. Bc self test was performed by a mechanic. The vehicle was purchased 3 months prior at the same dealership that performed the test. Results: no communication with awd module found. The issue was awd module faulty. Awd module was replaced and reprogrammed. The issue was not covered under the power train warranty (available for 5 years, 40,000 miles) due to the problem relating to the electrical system.
Drivers door making noises. I was given the option whole new door- total cost $2900 - I have to pay $1635 for new door which by the way will not match my car color as car 3 - 4 years old! ssm 50150 from national highway traffic safety administration. They also offer another solution to solve the problem. Ford should offer a better solution as shabby workmanship.
Out of no where I got codes for a awd system fault, pre collision fault and hill start and traction assist fault.
While travelling we got a message on our dasboard stating that the awd had a fault and needed to be serviced. We called the dealership and they said it was okay to continue to drive the vehicle. However, we made the soonest appointment available with the dealership, thinking we were still under warranty. We received other warning messages: hill assist not working, pre-collision assist not working, auto hold not working, advance auto trac needs servicing, see manual, get system serviced. The cruise, or speed control also stopped working. We drove 1,100 miles with all of this going on trying to get back home. We went to have it checked out at tje dealer on 9/5/2023. We found out it is not under warranty. It cost us $195 for the computer to tell us it is the awd module and, Ford wants another $800 to fix it. We found an article at customer satisfaction program 21b19 – awd module replacement – 2020-2021 Ford bronco sport, Escape, & Lincoln corsair – Ford https://Ford. Oemdtc. Com/7846/customer-satisfaction-program-21b19-awd-module-replacement-2020-2021-Ford-bronco-sport-escape-Lincoln-corsair. What can we do? help please.
Driving vehicle and awd became disabled, received a major power train fault, and pre collision system disabled as well as other safety issues. Took to Ford dealer and they said it was the awd control module that caused the faults but this was not covered under powertrain warranty. There was a customer service program for this for 2020 Escapes but my VIN was not covered. It is identified as a powertrain fault so how is that not covered under powertrain warranty.
Awd fault service required popped up on screen. Which then resulted in others system failures such as auto start. Stop cruise control emergency breaking. I was within manufacturer powertrain warranty, but was told it was not covered under the powertrain warranty.
I was driving on the nys thruway with lane assist and cruise control enabled. This is after already having an issue with my computer where the car a couple of months ago just stopped in the middle of the road. This morning I was driving on the thruway when suddenly, if felt like the collision impact system was engaged and the car shifted to the right slamming into the car next to me. No airbag deployment but extensive damage and collision system was completely engaged. The car issued no warnings or other issues afterwards. Nyspd arrived and completed report. Another car was involved. Only side damage.
The front radar that enables collision avoidance, adaptive cruise control, etc. Has failed. It first started as an intermittent problem that quickly progressed to a total failure. The vehicle was not involved in an accident or any misuse that would cause this problem.
While cruise is engaged when driving down the highway, it will randomly get "cancelled" and then will reengage randomly. This occurred 4 times in a 5 minute period even when there is no traffic around.
