My vehicle has had a fuel injector recall since 07/2025. My car has gradually started to idle and drop rpms. It starts when the vehicle was only in park and now it is happening when I am in drive and foot is on the brake. I am not sure what to do because of the open recall with no repair options in sight almost a year later.
Ford manufacturer and local gurley leep Ford dealership failed to provide a remedy to safety recall : manufacturer recall number25s76 NHTSA recall number25v467 in a reasonable timeframe. The local Ford dealership refused to provide a remedy, free of charge, in accordance with the NHTSA guidelines .
This has been an ongoing recall for three years. They fixed my car the first time according to them and now it’s still an issue they are saying they can’t fix. I’ve went through two evap solenoids and my car still is having issues with the fuel vapor intake. I’m to the point I don’t ride in it or drive it with my children bc I’m scared it’s going to catch fire especially being in south florida. I’m very upset with Ford!.
The recall on the fuel issue was released in July 2025. This is now March 2026. Eight months should be enough time to get the parts needed for this repair. What can you do to see about getting this process accelerated? thank you.
Safety recall does not have a remedy for over 8 months.
The entire dashboard/infotainment interface will lose power suddenly. The car will struggle to start, and have an emissions or evap code, and there's a smell from the engine sometimes, that leaks into the cabin, which the cabin has bad thermoregulation, and cold air seeps in quick. Also I've driven on the highway and have had all the steering and power stop all at once! the headlights also keep getting popped or burnt out.
It has a recall 25s76 that Ford says has no solution. I called Ford, and they said it did have one, and that I should take it in. Supposedly, what they did was a software update on 05/01/2025, but nothing worked. The gasoline smell inside the car persists, with a risk of fire.
There’s an open recall for the fuel injectors for my vehicle. I am currently unable to drive my vehicle because I can not fuel my vehicle. Each time it is fuel the engine light comes on and the vehicle either doesn’t drive or shakes violently and refuses to go. The vehicle isn’t able to pass state inspection as well. My safety is impacted by the vehicle randomly not going/stalling and not able to keep fueled.
Nhtsa recall 25v467 was issued in July 2025. It has been over 3 months of constant fear for under-hood fire from possible fuel injector crack. My family's safety has been at risk long enough, this needs a permanent fix please!.
My fuel lid will not close causing a check engine light. My vehicle has less than 25k miles but outside of the 3 year limit for the warranty.
Vehicle is unsafe to drive. Remedy is not available, and a fire can start under the hood. I have a car that I bought that I cannot drive without the anxiety of a fire. Ford will not buyback my vehicle, and they are in breach of their warranty.
Unknown - recall from July 2025 with the fuel injectors. There is still no remedy available. The smell of gas inside the vehicle happens each time it is driven. I don't feel this is being handled in a timely manner.
Every time I get gas my engine stalls out citing an issue with the evap system — evap purge valve. This is not safe as it stalls out directly after filling the car up. The smell of gas is very prominent leading me to believe there could be a fire hazard associated with this as well.
My engine has been misfiring since I purchased my vehicle from a Ford dealership in mooresville, nc. At least, I think it is misfiring. My vehicle did not pass an emissions test and I had it inspected at a Ford dealership in statesville, nc. They told me I have a transmission fluid leak. I went to a transmission specialist, and we stood under my car while he showed me that the transmission is not leaking in any way. This when I learned of the fuel injection recall. He wants to help in discerning what the problem actually is, but I need to address the recall issue first. I have to do something, as I need my car for my uber side job, but I'm being told that I have no option. Please, help. I'll provide any additional information that you may need. Thank you.
The fuel neck tube requires replacement as per the mechanic's assessment. When refueling, the pump frequently stops every 5-10 seconds, as though the tank is full, necessitating multiple restarts. This defect makes it difficult to ascertain when the tank is genuinely full, leading to the risk of overfilling. On two occasions, despite the pump's intermittent stopping, it eventually functioned normally but resulted in overfilling, causing fuel to overflow from the fuel neck. This issue has been deemed out of warranty; however, Ford has offered to cover 50% of the repair costs as a goodwill gesture. Nonetheless, I believe that this defect should be fully covered and that a recall is warranted due to its significant safety implications. Additionally, a technical service bulletin (TSB) exists for this issue, and there is a substantial online community documenting similar defects in the 2020-2023 Escape hybrids. The estimated repair cost is $1,100, and the vehicle has less than 14,000 miles on the odometer. Enclosed are the diagnostic report (repairs pending), email correspondence from Ford, and the relevant TSB.
I’ve visited both ourisman Ford of manassas, va and ted britt Ford of chantilly, va regarding this issue and asked when a fix is expected. At both dealerships, I was informed that this is not classified as a recall but rather part of Ford’s customer satisfaction program. However, when I provided the service representative with the official letter from Ford, they were unable to locate either the manufacturer recall number 25s76 or the NHTSA recall number 25v467 in their system. I’ve also explained that my vehicle—a 2021 model with fewer than 25,000 miles—is experiencing poor fuel economy, ranging between 23–29 mpg. Additionally, I’ve noticed a troubling performance issue: when accelerating from a complete stop, the car sometimes hesitates, then suddenly lurches forward, occasionally causing the tires to squeal.
The recall for potential engine fire due to injectors that crack is inadequate. Reprogramming the computer and drilling a hole for gas to leak on the ground is ridiculous. Why should we have to drive a potential "firebomb?" Ford should do the right thing and replace all of the injectors that could crack and replace them with new injectors that are correctly manufactured. Ford is trying to shirk their responsibility and "save a buck" at the expense of the owners. Please make Ford fix this potentially deadly problem.
I have to keep pressing the gas handle to put gas in my car because the damn carbon sensor shit thingy is broke. Also the door keeps clicking and tiktok says it’s going to fly off. Now that’s just dangerous. The clicky thingy is from something that is welded into the door keeps coming off of the car. Now that’s fucked.
Recall 23s27 (NHTSA 23v-380). I do not feel that Ford is offering owners a safe or effective repair, leaving serious risk of injury or death. 1. 7/2022. Recall 22s47. “engine oil and/or fuel vapor may leak and accumulate” which “may ignite resulting in an under hood fire, and increasing the risk of injury. ” 2. 8/8/22. Ford media to upi, “in the event of an engine failure” above issues may occur. 3. 5/26/23. Recall 23s27 acknowledges, “engine could fail prematurely,” leading to the above. 4. 5/26/23. Nhtsa part 573 safety recall report: cause identified. “isolated engine manufacturing issues have resulted in 2. 5l hev/phev engine failures involving engine block or oil pan breach. Likely driving “final solution” (paragraph 7). “in the event of an engine block or oil pan breach, the hev/phev system continues to propel the vehicle allowing the customer to continue to drive the vehicle. As the customer continues to drive after a block breach, oil and/or fuel vapor continues to be expelled and accumulates near ignition sources”. 5. 2023. “23s27 chronology rmisc-23v380-7289,” links recall 22s47 with 23s27. Vehicles which had undergone the repair specified by 22s47 still had issues, and Ford engineers confirmed block breach and correct 22s47 repair. “repair” for 22s47 did not fix the underlying mechanical problem. 6. 6/6/23. Autoblog: “per Ford, the “manufacturing issues” include poor machining of the engine crankshaft and contamination of engine block mating surfaces during assembly. ” “2. 5-liter engines . . . With defects “could be ticking time bombs. ” 7. 5/24. “software is now available to repair [affected vehicles]. ” dealers will “update the powertrain control module (pcm). ” this will not fix the problem. I respectfully request NHTSA investigate and compel Ford to provide the correct and proper mechanical repairs necessary to prevent block/oil pan breach in the first place.
Vehicle was recalled 11+ months ago, but no remedy as yet been found. If the issue was so serious, why no repair procedure has been determined?.
I am worried that this vehicle's engine could die, proceed to leak oil and fuel and combust, leaving a burning husk that should've been repaired three months ago. The open recall was set to conclude, per Ford, in October 2023. It is now new year's with no resolution. I do not want to drive a tinderbox.
We stopped driving this vehicle when notice was sent about the possible engine fire. We are appalled that Ford has provided no fix for this for 9 months (may 2023 to Feb 2024, the time of this complaint). We contacted a lemon law lawyer but there's no protection unless the engine were to malfunction. Tell would you want to drive your kids in a vehicle with an engine that could explode into flames without notice? we've lost $12,000 so far: $6,000 paying the loan + dmv/insurance on the Ford and another $6,000 for the same for a replacement vehicle. Cannot do pno bec of lien.
Vehicle caught on fire while we were driving.
I was issued a letter back in June 2023 on this recall. Parts were supposed to be available by October 2023. It is now almost March of 2024 with no remedy.
Received two notices that their is a recall on my Ford Escape. Scheduled the recall with the Ford dealership. The dealership said there is a waiting list, and they only receive 10 parts a month to replace the recall.
The vehicle still has not been serviced due to the dealerships informing me that they do not have the parts even though I received notice that the parts were in stock.
Received a notice that a recall was necessary to correct fuel vapor issues which might result in a fire. Simultaneously notified the dealer that the brake booster was defective. They agreed and both assured me the part had been delivered and subsequently informed me that the part for the brakes was defective. I was told that the fuel vapor issue had been addressed and resolved however according to your records it has not. I have been waiting for a call that the parts were available for the warranty repairs since December 19.
The car smells like gas on the inside. Ford says no codes so no issue. Started when 15000 miles on ur and ur still smells like gas with 21000 miles on it. Ford can’t seem to find the issue after being in shop 3 weeks.
While driving on the interstate a fire started under the hood and shortly after smoke entered the driver cabin. Luckily I was able to pull over and get out of the vehicle before the fire reached the driver cabin. It is going to be investigated by a company hired by aaa, the appraiser from the insurance company was not able to find a cause due to the fire damage being too bad. The first warning message was engine coolant overtemperature and a couple of others followed.
2 current recall problems with vehicle. Brake recall has been an issue since November 2021. The brakes were supposedly fixed. Then there came a horrific squealing noise when vehicle in reverse. And driving. Also when braking when vehicle in motion. Horrible grinding sound. Contacted dealer. Said back order on parts to fix squealing. Apparent issues with bushing. Per the dealership. Has been going on for months. Still have no been contacted for repair. There is no solution regarding the November 2022 recall about the fuel injector. There is currently 7 very serious recalls involving this vehicle. I’m afraid to drive my vehicle. But continue to pay for a death trap.
