While driving 25 mph, the contact attempted to stop the vehicle; however, the brakes did not function and the brake warning indicator illuminated on the instrument panel. The contact had to apply the emergency brake to stop the vehicle. The vehicle is currently being diagnosed by the dealer. The contact did not notice any differences beforehand.
