Service Brakes Problems of Ford Escort

The contact owned a 2002 Ford Escort. While driving at an unknown speed, the contact's vehicle rear ended another vehicle. The driver of the contact's vehicle and four occupants in the other vehicle were injured. Medical attention was received. A police report was filed. The air bags deployed on impact. Prior to the crash, the vehicle accelerated while the brakes were being applied. The vehicle was towed and deemed a total loss. The failure mileage was 144,000.

I own 2 Ford Escorts a 1999 Escort se, and a 2002 Escort se, I've noticed on both vehicles, when I've had to do an emergency stop (slamming the brakes) both vehicles take fairly long to respond, increasing the braking distance. I have 2 other friends who own similar Escorts, and notice the same problem, I feel that this concern needs to be investigated for a potential defect in the braking system.

Consumer requesting restitution for a house fire that was caused by a vehicle fire. . Prior to the fire the vehicle also experienced a problem with the alternator and the brakes squeaking.

Transmission went out. The car had 2400 miles on it when I bought it. It should have been been pre owned. They sold it to me saying it was new but someone else put 2400 miles on it. Now I fell thats the reason why my transmission failed prematureley. Ford has denied me a awa because they said I'm not a loyal customer just because I got my transmission serviced somewhere else. 1997 Ford Escort had rear springs problems. * both rear springs on the vehicle broke. The breaks were identical, the lower coils. The consumer contacted the manufacturer and indicated that they showed lack of interest.

Consumer complained about transmission axle slippage and defective brake problems. Vehicle vibrated when accelerating. Consumer had the vehicle inspected by a private mechanic.
