The contact owns a 2001 Ford Excursion. The contact stated that the vehicle would fail to start occasionally. In addition, while driving between 60-70 mph, the vehicle would stall. The failure occurs during normal driving or changing lanes. Sometimes the vehicle will immediately restart. The vehicle is difficult to pull to the shoulder due to the lack of power steering and brakes when the failure occurs. There are no warning lights illuminated on the instrument panel prior to the failure. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, but they could not diagnose the failure. The vehicle is currently at the dealer. The failure mileage was 100,000.
