2001 Ford Excursion 7. 3l powerstroke diesel with 114500 miles : abs control module stopped working and disabled anti lock braking system causing vehicle to skid uncontrollably on wet surface. Failure is permanent in nature and cannot be reset, so anti-lock braking system is deactivated. Repair required is for the abs control module to be replaced by dealer (cost exceeds $500) and old part is not available.
