The engine restarted momentarily and the vehicle resumed as normal. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer and diagnosed. The failure was related to the injection control sensor. 2 Wiring problem

Failure Date: 12/04/2010

The contact owns a 2004 Ford Excursion. The contact was stopped at a light when the vehicle attempted to accelerate forward. The contact stated that the brakes were applied during the failure. The following day, the vehicle failed to start and was towed to an authorized dealer. The dealer advised him that the vehicle would need a new injection control pressure sensor and a fuel injection control module. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact owns a 2004 Ford Excursion. When making left turns the vehicle will stall. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, and the computer and sensor were replaced at an expense of $1100. The vehicle was previously repaired according to recall # 05v270000 (electrical system:wiring). The failure mileage was 138,883.

4 Wiring problem

The contact owns a 2004 Ford Excursion. The fuel injection control module failed, which caused the engine to stall without warning. The manufacturer was notified, and he was advised that he vehicle identification number was excluded from recall #05v270000 (electrical system:wiring). He was not eligible for a free remedy. 5 Wiring problem

Failure Date: 08/25/2008

Vehicle would stall while driving and surge while stopped. This happened due to the wiring harness being burned and the fuel injection control modulator wiring harness as well as the icp sensor has to be replaced. This is a recall issue for my year and make but not my VIN. The mechanics said it will happen again, it is not safe to drive with this risk.

6 Wiring problem

The contact owns a 2004 Ford Excursion. After starting the vehicle and placing it in drive or reverse, it accelerates or surges on its own. The vehicle now surges or revs as if it is trying to surge when driving or idling. The failure occurs at speeds between 0-25 mph. The vehicle has not been taken to the dealer. The contact owns a 2004 Ford Excursion. While driving between 25 and 65 mph, the vehicle stalled. The vehicle also failed to accelerate when the pedal was depressed. After being parked for 3-4 hours, the vehicle would operate normally for thirty minutes before the stalling began. The check engine light illuminated after the failure, but dimmed when the vehicle was restarted. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer twice and to a mechanic another two times. 8 Wiring problem

Failure Date: 07/19/2005

The caller had recall work done on his vehicle and it is running worse than before. Received recall 05s34 concerning injection control pressure sensor and wiring harness. Now, the vehicle has problems that it did not have before the recall. Vehicle stalls when engine is cold/hesitates and surges while accelerating. Took vehicle to the dealer 4 times since July 19, 2005, and is now was taking it to them again. Manufacturer can not be reached. The dealer's service manager told the consumer that he may have to live with the engineering change Ford made to the engine when recall 05s34 was completed on July 19, 2005.
