2 Transfer Case problem of the 2002 Ford Excursion

Failure Date: 11/17/2004

While driving 60 mph consumer heard a clanking noise and felt vibration. Consumer pulled the vehicle off the freeway, and towed it to the dealer, who informed the consumer that transfer case was separating from the transmission.

3 Transfer Case problem of the 2001 Ford Excursion

Failure Date: 01/27/2004

While driving 50 mph, the driver shut the four-wheel drive off the vehicle and without warning the driver lost control of the power steering, causing the consumer to drive into a ditch. The consumer was able to remove the vehicle from the ditch.
