Engine Noise problems of the 1997 Ford Expedition

Two problems related to engine noise have been reported for the 1997 Ford Expedition. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Engine Noise problem

Failure Date: 01/26/2001

Engine began making noise; slowed to pull off road; engine stopped and was able to coast to side of road. Oil pressure went to zero despite recent oil change and full reading on the oil. Dealer said engine seized and needs to be replaced. Unknown orgin or cause of seizure. All mileage on vehicle is highway.

2 Engine Noise problem

Failure Date: 06/18/1997

Repair attempts on several occasions due to engine noise, however not able to be rectified. Mjs.
