Emission Control problems of the 1998 Ford Expedition

Two problems related to emission control have been reported for the 1998 Ford Expedition. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Emission Control problem

Failure Date: 08/30/2002

Coolant system vapor form inside of heater compartment, and fumes are coming inside of vehicle . Dealership is aware of problem.

2 Emission Control problem

Failure Date: 04/26/2002

While driving, heard a noise under the truck as if vehicle ran over something. Took vehicle to dealership, mechanic stated it was sway bar link that broke off. Check engine light is illuminated; dealer found hego sensors were not responding; bank 1 and 2 hego sensors were replaced.
