Two problems related to front seat belt buckle assembly have been reported for the 1999 Ford Expedition. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Seat belt latch was broken. When consumer saw it, plastic case on latch was cracked. Has not contacted dealer yet.
We are unable to safely, and snugly secure any type of child seat other than an infant seat in the center position. The seat belt buckle receivingend is too far forward to allow a car seat to be secured tightly. Ford does not have a solution for this problem and it renders the Expedition unsafe for kids in the middle seat belt position.
