Gas Recirculation Valve (egr Valve) problems of the 2016 Ford Expedition

I was drving 70 mph on highway when my car started to loose power and a wrench symbol appeared. I had no power and had to rolled to side of highway. Message said transmission temp 199 degrees. I had it towed to dealer and they are telling me it needs a new throttle body. I am retired and only drive 2 times a week to see grand children, go to store or doctors and I only have about 43,000 miles. Car has had all schrduled maintanance. I see Ford had a recall for other 2015 and 2016 models for throttle body that expired in 2017 but nothing for 2016 Expedition. This is going to cost me $450. 00.
