Two problems related to tank filler pipe and cap have been reported for the 1998 Ford Explorer. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Gas cap would not lock in correctly,difficult to open and close properly. Yh.
Gas tank cap is not holding pressure, allowing gas fumes to escape from the tank. Dealer has not seen vehicle.
