1 Brake Disc Pads problem

Failure Date: 06/12/2015

Rear pads and rotors failed June 8, 2015. O/d light blinking with check engine light on, on June 12, 2015. Transmission shop got the codes and stated I don't have 2nd and 5th gears. $2000. 00 cost. Please force recall! help! many other repairs including u-joints, tie rods, front axle, front rotors with pads etc. Since I bought it in April 2013.

This is the second time I had to replace brake pads and other brake parts on this car within the same year (2012-13).

3 Brake Disc Pads problem

Failure Date: 03/16/2007

The contact owns a 2002 Ford Explorer xls. The mechanic was rotating both rear tires and changing brake pads. The mechanic stated that the rear coil springs sheared off. The current mileage was 51,600. The consumer has provided both the invoice and pictures of the broken coil springs. Update 4/23/07.

4 Brake Disc Pads problem

: the contact stated the brakes failed, which caused an accident. The brakes were inspected about one month prior to the incident, and the pads and brakes were did not display any problems. The brakes failed and the vehicle had not been to a service dealer to determine what caused the failure. A police report was taken, and no injuries were sustained.

5 Brake Disc Pads problem

2002 Explorer rear coil springs broke at 76,000 miles. The front brake pads were replaced.

6 Brake Disc Pads problem

Failure Date: 09/13/2005

After bringing my car to the dealership, I was informed that I needed back brakes. I took the car to my mechanic and he informed me that my brake pads and rotors were completely rusted through and rotted. This could have potentially caused the car to become unable to stop. I had to replace all four brakes (routine), brake pads, and rotors. My car only has 40,000+ miles on it.

7 Brake Disc Pads problem

While having front brake pads replaced mechanic noticed that the rotors rusted and cracked. Also, the rear rotors are starting to rust . The front rotors were replaced. The cause of the rust was undetermined.
