1 Brakes Failed problem

Failure Date: 03/31/2006

: the contact stated while driving 10 mph the brakes failed. When the brakes were applied the pedal went to the floor. The emergency brake was used to stop the vehicle without incident. There were no indicator lights on prior to the failure. Neither the dealer nor manufacturer has been alerted.

2 Brakes Failed problem

Failure Date: 12/29/2005

2002 Ford Explorer emergancy brake failure. 1) PA state safety inspection was performed at Ford dealer. 2) drum brake linings were found in total seperation from metal shoes. Condition is likely due to a combination of corosion and lack of adhesive between lining and metal shoe. 3) per the Ford dealer's disccovery and sugested repair. . . The emergancy brake and drum/rotors were replaced. Ford did not take liabiity or cover the expense. (old parts are available upon request).
