Tl- the contact owns a 2014 Ford Explorer. The contact stated that while the driver (officer) was driving at various speeds, the vehicle failed to stop while depressing the brake pedal, the brake warning light illuminated. The contact noticed that the right front brake hose to the caliper fracture. The driver (officer) was able to coast to the side of the road. The vehicle was towed to a police facility independent mechanic were it was diagnosed that the right front brake hose to the caliper needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer. The manufacturer was notified to the failure and open a case # ca3-15196031r3n7z5. The approximate failure mileage was 70,429. Aw.
