Windshield Critical Fasteners problems of the 2014 Ford Explorer

The vehicle was taken to the dealer to inquire of a recall. The dealer did not find a recall associated with the VIN related to the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 97,000.

While driving on highway the trim on the side of the windshield flew off .

While driving down 1-10 highway in arizona, the left side windshield black pillar flew off my 2014 Ford Explorer.

The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the contact was informed that he would be charged a repair cost. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. Trim piece in front of driver's door has flown off in traffic twice -second time after being replaced/repaired.

I have had the windshield replaced for the trim coming loose on both sides. I was able to use duct tape to keep them in place until replacement. That was a few years back. Then it happened again. Now it is happening again. So 3 times in 8 years.
