Recall id 25v695 rear camera. Camera does not work. Please issue a remedy!.
Rear view camera and a-pillar clips that were promised in the recalls are still not available, increasing the amount of time that it is unsafe to backup my 2015 Ford Explorer. As well as the a-pillar clip the endangers other drivers if the trim were to come off.
My back up camera will work then it stops working as im backing up and says unavailable contact dealer.
Driving high speed across alligator alley FL molding on both sides of front window loosed and began "flapping" loudly. On checking later learned that problem related to recall 24v031, loose a pillar applique trim. Over a year now and repair is unavailable so has not been done. Fear problem will reoccur, perhaps more serious.
Waiting for recall repair to be done, over 1yr and still nothing.
Recall 24v031 I received a notice in February about the recall. I have since received several notices and emails about it. Every time I call, they still don't have the part(s) to fix my vehicle and they have no estimated time for when they will get the part(s). When I looked up the recall, it was filed January 19, 2024. It is now December 2024 and still no part(s) to fix the recall. This is totally unacceptable. Ford should be held accountable for fixing the recall in a timely manner (10+ months is not timely).
The moonroof/sunroof’s motor always breaks down in winter due to snow freezing and water entering the roof and engine, I've had it repaired twice at the dealership, but every winter the problem returns, I talked to owners of the same model of vehicle and the same thing happens to them.
While driving on interstate 10 at 70mph, the weatherstripping blew off hitting the car behind me. When it blew off, it was very loud and distracting causing me to swerve on the road.
The side trim pieces on the windshield have flown off my car and the gasket around the windshield has torn off. I've had to replace them three times on each side. I have a 2015 Ford Explorer.
The components that hold the windshield in started coming out going down the highway at 55 miles per hour terrifying me that the windshield was coming out. I understand that this is happening a lot in the Ford Explorers. I am having components replaced next week.
The a-pillar windscreen trim on each side of the vehicle are a failed Ford design and require pending replacement to prevent them flying off whilst traveling and endangering other road users or pedestrians.
The window trim on the passenger side flew off while I was driving on the freeway. Also, my backup camera has been malfunctioning, the camera works off and on. It will work, then black out. At times is does not work at all.
Left side windshield trim molding flew off hitting car behind me. Causing car to then chase me down and run me off the road. Two months later the right side flew off while driving luckily not hitting another car on the road. Something needs done about this. Every Ford Explorer I see on the road is missing one or both of these trim pieces! do better Ford!.

Vehicle window trim, (front right) detached and flew off vehicle when traveling between 50-60mph. I was unaware that this wasn't an isolated incident until the news reported a potential investigation.
Hvac system does not switch to defrost. It also does not switch temperatures on the passenger side.
Vehicle has parking lights illuminated and not daytime running lights (headlamps). Illegal in most states and ans very dangerous at low light conditions! Ford engineers claim they cannot reconfigure after 6 months of attempting to do so. Major safety issue and legal issue if there is ever an accident involving death.
~tl- the contact owns a 2015 Chevrolet silverado 1500. The contact stated that while driving at 40 mph, a grayish smoke began to enter the vehicle cab from the rear window defroster without warning. The contact immediately shut off the defroster and moments later, the rear passenger window shattered without warning. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and gave the contact a case number. The manufacturer then contacted him about ten days later and informed him that his vehicle was no longer under warranty; therefore they could not offer any assistance with the repair. There is a leak on the drivers side of the car in the front and now there is standing water on the floor that leaks through when there is a rainstorm. There is also a significant leak where the lights are by the moon roof . The water is saturating the ceiling and drips on the radio and other parts of the car. The sunroof no longer works. This happens every time it rains and when it is stationary. The ceiling lights will fill up with water and drip as well. Since there is no heat on the passenger side of the car I am unable to clear the windshield of any fog which is very dangerous. There are forums on this all over the internet and I know 2 other people who have the same problems with their Fords.
1st concern: my 2015 Ford Explorer is at 84,000 miles. I have captain (bucket) seats for the 2nd row. About 6 months ago, my son couldn't get out his seat belt. The red button wouldn't release and it was tight around his waist, eventually I was able to make enough room from him to slide under the lap belt. The estimate I received 3 weeks ago was $230 not covered under warranty. I have never had to replace a seat belt. 2nd concern: this past weekend traveling 70 mph on a highway I heard flapping outside the front drivers window the panel was shaking for about 30 seconds then flew off. Before I could safely stop the rubber that would have been underneath the panel came loose and started hitting the driver's side window. I inspected the passengers side and it has also lifted and will come off soon. I haven't had an opportunity to get an estimate but I feel as these are issues that should be happening. Both in my opinion are safety concerns, nothing should be flying off the car and seat belts should work.
Tl the contact owns a 2015 Ford Explorer. While driving approximately 68 mph, the front passenger side "a-pillar" (part of the windshield) detached from the vehicle with a loud explosion. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was pulled over to the side of the road. The contact called parks Ford of wesley chapel at 813-907-7800 (located at 28739 FL-54, wesley chapel, FL 33543) and was informed that they were aware of the failure, but there was no recall. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and provided a case number. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was 43,682.
Tl-the contact owns a 2015 Ford Explorer. The contact stated that while driving at 65 mph, there was a loud explosion and the panoramic sunroof fractured. The contact stated that the panoramic sunroof was not struck by an object prior to the explosion. The local dealer was not contacted or notified of the failure. The manufacturer was contacted and notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 34,575. Ah.
The intermittent wipers turn on by themselves or unable to turn them off. This causes the driver to focus on trying to turn them off, while taking your eyes of the roadway.
Headlights are suppose to be sealed units but when I'm driving in the rain the water gets in. Ford denied warranty replacement of them calling it condensation and that is normal. The water stays in for a day or two but when driving at night it obscures my vision from the light being defused. This is a known problem by Ford and they don't seem to want to own up to it. I sent pictures to them but have since deleted them I will take more the next time it rains when I'm traveling.
The backup camera fails constantly when you put the Ford Explorer into reverse the camera works sometime and sometime it do not work a message will pop up saying that there is a problem with the camera and need to be service this is happening to a lot of the 2015 Ford Explorers and older and there should be a recall because if you look online there have been thousands of people having the same problem with their backup camera.
My car has projection headlights. On a dark road, it appears as though there is a black curtain over the top half of my windshield. Road visibility is limited by this, this would be the cut off line where below the line there is light and above it is total darkness. On back roads where there are no street lights, this is a horrible blind spot that is worsened by going down hills and around curves. Going down a slope causes the projection to be shortened to immediately in front of the vehicle. If there were pedestrians or animals beyond this area, they would be invisible. Driving over bumps in the road make the cut off line bounce around, quickly becoming annoying as well as dangerous. Anything above this cut off line is invisible, such as road signs. On a perfectly straight and level road the lights are bearable.
