The entire transmission has to be replaced. The transmission started with a weird noise, slow acceleration despite a racing engine and then total failure. The Explorer only has about 60,000 miles.
While driving in traffic there was a loud noise and the car lost power and the wrench light came on. Was able to roll out of traffic transmission went out.
