1 Engine Burning Oil problem

Failure Date: 05/25/2018

My Explorer sport with turbo has a recurring oil leak that the dealership has attempted to repair a few times. I can smell oil burning within minutes of driving the vehicle and there are oil stains on our garage floor. My concern is that oil may be leaking onto hot engine components creating a fire hazard. The dealership has had the vehicle for over 2 weeks cumulatively and I believe this is part of a bigger problem. The gm told me today that he believes this is a freak occurrence, but in speaking with a friend of mine whose husband is a mechanic on Fords, he said the Ford knows this is an issue, but hasn't issued a recall for this model, yet. I'm not sure what to do at this point. I just know that I'm paying for a vehicle that I can't drive and the dealership doesn't know how to repair it which is very concerning.
