1 Transmission Failure problem

Ford continues to make unsuccessful repairs on continuous transmission issue despite 6 failed attempts since first reported October 2019 at only 11,000 miles. Car will not accelerate into higher gear when traveling at high rates of speed. Ford continues to neglect many written notifications of dangerous events caused by transmission failure as well as blatantly refuses to diagnose reported errors present on car and continues to knowingly and negligently put its consumer and their passengers in danger by refusing to acknowledge ongoing issue that has now had 6 unsuccessful repairs made to attempt to resolve transmission issue. Consumer has desperately requested a full replacement/refund for defective vehicle for her safety and her family's but Ford has repeatedly denied 3 buy back requests now citing that only 2 repairs have been made when clearly this is not the case.

2 Transmission Failure problem

Failure Date: 06/01/2020

The contact owns a 2017 Ford Explorer. The contact stated that while sitting idle, the vehicle suddenly started to shake violently. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, when the vehicle needed to switch gears, the vehicle would rev up in speed, slightly stall, and then jolt forward. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer - andy mohr Ford (2713 e main st, plainfield, in 46168; (317) 836-2299) and repaired under an unknown seat and liftgate recall however, the mechanic was not able to identify the cause of the failure. The contact stated that after the repair the failure increased in occurrence. The contact took the vehicle to a certified mechanic who diagnosed that the transmission failed and needed to be replaced. The contact confirmed that the vehicle was not included in a power train recall. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 85,000.
