One problem related to steering rack and pinion has been reported for the 1998 Ford Explorer Sport. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
I have already put in one complaint on my 1998 Ford explorer, but now I got it back a few days ago from the dealer they checked it and found out it has rack and pinion problems already. I have only 24000 miles on it. There is another complaint in here for the same thing. I am worried the steering is going to go out, and I cannot afford to pay $900. 00. Why is Ford not doing anything with these 1998 explorers.
