One problem related to steering rack has been reported for the 1998 Ford Explorer Sport. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
While in motion, consumer was involved in a rollover accident. The hydraulic rack burst, causing loss of hydraulic fluid, loss of control and the vehicle to roll onto its' left side. The steering rack was identified as defective and the cause of the accident. The driver sustained significant injuries.
