Air Bag Light On Problems of Ford Explorer Sport

"takata recall" airbag light keeps blinking with the seat belt noise. Changed the light bulb from the dash board and now the airbag light stays on but will not connect with mileage.

Air bag light keeps flashing off and on. Don't know if air bags will deploy or not in case of an accident. Ford has a safey memo out on this problem, but won't recall because they say it isn't a safety issue. How can this not be a safety issue if you don't know if the air bags will deploy.

Purchased a 1999 Ford Explorer Sport in October 2003. The vehicle had 59303 miles on it when we purchased it. A few weeks after purchase the air bag light kept coming on. I called the dealership and they stated that it was normal. We finally took the vehicle into another dealership and it turns out that it is faulty electrical and our air bags won't deploy. Apparently our bumper to bumper extended warranty (minus normal wear and tear) does not cover safety items. The dealership we purchased it from won't help us. Now we are driving a vehicle that is unsafe.

Nar 1/29/2003. The air bag light constantly stayed on. There has been four attempted repairs on the vehicle.
