Five problems related to front air bag have been reported for the 1996 Ford F-150. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Consumer was traveling 35mph had front end collision and airbags didn't deploy. Only one axle locked to stop vehicle. Vehicle has anti-lock brake system. Forman at Ford agency said airbags don't always work.
Vehicle knocked down 2 trees &fence post before hitting large tree driver suffered 2broken ribs upon impact of steering wheel/airbag failure.
While driving 30mph hit a stopped vehicle, and neither airbag deployed. Contacted dealer.
Driver was involved in an accident when he rearended another vehicle at 35 mph airbag didn't deploy during accident, also fuel pump didn't shut off.
No deployment of driver's air bag in accident, resulting in injury.
