1 Car Stall problem

Failure Date: 04/02/2012

4. 2l f150 had a slow loss of coolant and not being notified that this could be a potential problem which could lead to engine destruction, I would simply add more coolant. This condition resulted in complete hydro lock and destroying #5 rod bearing. While I can well understand problems associated with vehicles of 1997 vintage I can not understand at all Ford not advising consumers of potential problems with their vehicles before they spend 4k$ in rebuilding and installing this long block and finding out they had squandered their money on trying to resurrect a dead horse with 86069 miles on the odometer.

2 Car Stall problem

Failure Date: 05/24/2006

: the contact stated while traveling 30 mph, the vehicle stalled and would not restart. The vehicle was towed to the contact's residence. The contact determined the spark plug ejected from the cylinder head. The vehicle has not been seen by the dealership, but the manufacturer was alerted.

3 Car Stall problem

Failure Date: 10/21/2005

There was no significant event that lead up to the failure. The failure is that the spark plugs are popping out of the heads. This happened on a 1997 Ford f150 5. 4 supercab pickup, it has also happened to a few other of our pickups and to a couple of our service vans. We had to have the spark plug holes tapped and re-drilled and install a new plug. It is quite and expensive procedure not only for the repairs but the down time of our vehicles. This seems to be happening a lot. Could you please get back to me if you have had similar complaints. Or let me know if I am complaining to the wrong place. Thank you.

10 Car Stall problem

I really don't know the extent of my problems. However, my truck has a rough idle and hesitation and has stalled a couple of times. I have changed grades of gasoline and brands of gasoline. I have also tried injector cleaner. I have had it to two different dealers. I have had it to commonwealth Ford in richmond ky 40475 twice and performance Ford where the truck was purchased once. Neither place found anything wrong. My truck is almost out of warranty and I am afraid that something major may be wrong and I don't want to be stuck with a huge repair bill. I have also contacted Ford customer assistance and recieved no help their either. I don't know what else to do. I would appreciate any information that you can provide. Thanks brian elsea.
