Four problems related to front suspension stabilizer bar have been reported for the 1997 Ford F-150. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Stablizer bar broke , bolts fell to the ground. Contacted dealer, and dealer stated no recall on vehicle. Please add VIN.
Front torsion bar/stabilizer bar snapped completely in half, front end of truck dropped 1'9". Dealer said this was the tenth in for this problem, car is undriveable and put a lot of stress another parts.
Consumer experienced steering problem and was unable to back out of parking space due to stabilizer failure. Nlm.
Stabilizer bar failed, causing truck to collapse on front tires with no way to steer.
