Door Latch problems of the 1999 Ford F-150

1 Door Latch problem

Failure Date: 12/01/2004

Passenger power door lock failed, necessitating passenge to roll down car widow to use exterior door handle to get out. Driver side door lock soon failed in exact same manner.

2 Door Latch problem

Failure Date: 10/02/2003

My 1999 f150 door locks have been replaced at 25,000 and 45,000 miles. Now the drivers side power lock has failed again at 79,000 miles. The local Ford deales states this is normal for a car made in America.

3 Door Latch problem

Failure Date: 06/01/2002

Could the general public view the number of complaints for this particular problem?no safety defect listed.

4 Door Latch problem

Failure Date: 08/14/1999

Passenger's side door can be opened after vehicle's doors are locked while driving. Will be taking vehicle to dealer to have it checked out.

5 Door Latch problem

Owner's child can open the front doors without unlocking them while vehicle is being driven. Dealer says that's how front doors are suppose to be designed.
