One problem related to latches/locks/linkage has been reported for the 1999 Ford F-150. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Purchased 1999 f150 lariat new with electronic side mirrors with built in turn signal lights. The mirrors have faded and turned spotty with dark spots. The passenger side mirror is almost impossible to see out of and the drivers side is almost as bad. Within the next couple months I will not be able to see out of either side mirror. Called Ford and they said it wasn't a defect and I needed to bring it into a Ford dealer to see if it would be covered.
