Three problems related to speed control linkage have been reported for the 1999 Ford F-150. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
While vehicle was in park position by the shift indicator, vehicle accelerated in reverse, resulting in injuries. Dealer has inspected, and will repair vehicle.
While driving vehicle suddenly acclerated. Brakes did not stop vehicle. Could not place vehicle in park position, or could not shut off vehicle, which almost caused a crash. The first time this problem happened on Apr 27, 2000, but in the reverse position. Please provide further information.
While applying the brakes, vehicle suddenly accelerated, resulting in a collision. Dealer and manufacturer will be notified. Dealer has inspected vehicle and found nothing wrong. Also the wipers work intermittently, windows will not go up or down, and daytime running lights do not turn on.
