1 Front Seat Belt problem

Failure Date: 10/25/2005

Front passenger side safety belt latch does releases at any given time. It always latches with no problems and appears secure, yet will come undone while driving. This latch releases with ease while driving at anytime. This has become more prevalent now that my kids are old enough to be in the front seat. When testing its security after initially latching, it will come unlatched when tugging on the strap hard. This latch has already been checked for foreign objects and none were found. The Ford dealership continues not to check for defect without charge and am very upset about that. They state that my VIN number is not included in this recall, but definitely has the same problems as the others. I am very concerned with the safety now that my kids are able to ride in the front passenger seat. Since ownership, there have been events every time a passenger sat up front. There have been no deaths, injuries, fires, damage as yet.

2 Front Seat Belt problem

Failure Date: 02/23/2004

Front passengers side outboard seat belt will not fully latch. Rq04011.
