Car Accelerates On Its Own problems of the 2002 Ford F-150

Tl- the contact stated that the driver who had owned a 2002 Ford F-150 experienced an unintended acceleration failure with no warning. While in a parking lot, the vehicle had spun out of control, the driver hit a curb to avoid crashing into other vehicles in the parking area, the vehicle had gone airborne, hit a telephone pole, landed but did not stop. The vehicle was still at a high rate of speed, crashed over another curb and then into some bushes. Air bags failed to deploy. A police report was not filed. The driver who was now deceased had received further medical treament. A dealer has not yet inspected and diagnosed how the unintended acceleration failure happened. The vehicle was stored by the contact. The manufacturer was later notified of the crash and the contact was waiting to determine if they may be able to investigate the failure.
