The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer and the contact was informed that the emergency brake disintegrated. The vehicle was repaired. The failure occurred a total of five times. The contact also stated that he had never used the emergency brake during the life of the vehicle and he was unaware as to how it could fail if it was never used.
