The contact owns a 2004 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the air bag warning light illuminated. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and advised the contact to report the failure to the NHTSA hotline. The contact was also informed that the repair could not be covered under NHTSA campaign number: 11v107000 (air bags) because the VIN was not included. The failure mileage was approximately 93,000.

Air bag deployed suddenly while I was in the parked vehicle, it is available for inspection, has not been brought up to dealerships attention, no warning or light up on dash board to indicate problem.
Problem is already a recall item, took in to get fixed and the warning light continues to stay on.
This a. M. As I entered my driveway, a neighbor stopped me to talk. I stopped and rolled down my window. He went on and on. Suddenly, my truck accelerated at full throttle toward my garage 70 feet away. My foot was on the brake to no avail. I turned slightly to the right and hit the corner of the garage. The air bags deployed. My glasses went flying. I was not hurt. A tree had soften the impact. I was severely shaken. My blood pressure was elevated. Ford motor company is not helpful. My insurance company, geico, is handling the issue.
Takata recall I was in a accident last week. None of my airbags deployed it was a front end accident which resulted in the windshield and nearly all galss being broken as well as the other vehicles airbags deploying. Not a single airbag in my vehicle deployed. I was doing approxiamately 43 mph and the other vehicle pulled out in front of me causing me to t-bone the other vehicle. None of my airbags deployed.
Takata recall when I got into my vehicle getting ready to take off the airbags deployed right in my face I hurried an checked myself and my daughter was not hit they just exploded in my face. I got out the car an immediately called my insurance company because I thought my car has been hit and it was a delay in the airbags I was assured that no one had hot me and it was a factory malfunction recall and Ford would have to take care of it. Through a long process Ford is denying any help with my vehicle ive never received any recall notice for my vehicle ive only had it less than a year had I bee aware I would have taking it in wright away now ive been out of a car and no help from Ford.
Takata recall.

I was getting into my truck and when I was about to start my truck and leave my airbag deployed in my face my arm also hit my face an d I bruised up right away and swollen, I called a tow truck my issurance had my truck towed to the Ford dealership, they told me they will not be able to take care of damages unless I pay them out of my pocket they did tell me there was a recall on my truck for the air bag deploying on there own, next day Ford motor company told me they could not help me as well because they claim they sent me a recall letter, I never did. I think they should cover ther repair there is a active recall!!!.
My truck had been parked in my driveway overnight. This morning when I cranked up the truck, the passenger airbag deployed with no warning. There was no crash or previous incident such as hitting something weeks and months before this. Some recalls for the driver side suggest that a dash light will indicate a problem with the airbag, however, this was not the case for my truck. The airbag shattered the windshield sending small pieces of glass flying on the inside and exterior of the truck. Besides the shock, hours later my hearing is still not the same on my right side.
Contacted Ford regarding a recall of Ford 150s including my model year that included a risk of airbag deployment. The airbag and horn on my f150 have stopped working, just as in the recall. However, Ford says that my vehicle is not included, despite an identical problem. It is my understanding that NHTSA requested a larger recall than Ford issued, one that would likely have included my vehicle. This is why I'm entering the information here. Contacted local Ford dealer and Ford corporate, told by both that I couldn't receive recall fix. I am afraid that the airbag will deploy when I start the vehicle, or wont deploy when I need it in an accident.
Impact was in the front center of the pickup with the damage 24 inches into the engine area, the driver did have his seat belt on but he still hit the rear view mirror with his head and broke his left wrist and incurred many other injuries as a result. His injuries would have been lessend if the airbag and the seatbelt had worked the way there supposed to.
This is in relation to an existing recall notice for 11s18. I have been trying to get this fixed since I got the recall notice may 9. I have called friendly Ford springfield mo every Tuesday and am told they do not have the part to fix it. The last time I was told to take it to another dealer farther away because they have it. They also told me to call the Ford customer service number which I did and got a recording saying it was temporarily unavailable. What am I supposed to do at this point to get this fixed before a more serious situation arises. Ford and friendly Ford doesn't seem to want to fix it regardless of what you say!.
Passanger air bag for a Ford f150. Took truck to get drivers air bag fixed light had come on a long time ago, but Ford wanted to charge over 2,000 to get it fixed. When recall came passanger air bag was fixed. Went to pick up the truck at Ford and light for passangerair bag was on. Ford wants to charge over 2,000 to get it fixed. Light came on while at their shop.
I was attempting to leave my apartment this morning. Backed out of the parking spot. Put the truck into drive. Not more than 30 feet later. Boom!!! inadvertent airbag deployment. I didn't even make it to the set of speed bumps.
The contact owns a 2004 Ford F-150. The contact stated that the vehicle was parked outside her residence when the horn began independently sounding. The vehicle was then taken to a dealer and they advised her that the air bag had failed and the wiring harness would need to be replaced. The manufacturer was then contacted and provided no assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 40,500.
I was in a bank drive-up driving my daughterã‚s 2004 Ford 150 truck. When I started to leave the truck lurched and the engine went to full speed. I immediately applied the brakes but they did nothing to slow the truck. I was headed straight for the bank where the tellers were, so I turned sharply to the right. The truck kept going at a high rate of speed with me trying to stop it with the brakes. It shot through the parking lot and across a very busy road where a car hit me. The impact of the other car didnã‚t even phase the truck. It kept going, over the curb across the street, through a burger king parking lot and rammed into metal stairs on the side of a jewelry store where it finally stopped. I hit the staircase at a tremendous rate of speed yet the airbags didnã‚t deploy. The car that hit me was totaled and the driver went to the hospital. My daughterã‚s truck was totaled and I had to go to the hospital with injuries that turned out to be bruises all over my body, especially on my legs. The staircase was destroyed and a car nearby had damage. The insurance was not adequate to cover all the damage. The insurance company sent someone out to do an engineering report on the truck but he could not find the cause. That didnã‚t surprise me as there was little left to inspect. This was definitely a mechanical failure. I did not have my foot on the gas peddle. I was trying to stop the truck with the brakes and steering to avoid people and other obstacles. Ford needs to look into this as it is an extremely dangerous flaw or defect. I am going to be responsible for a lot of money to repair the damage that the insurance didnã‚t pay.
While applying the brakes coming to a red light at an intersection, all power was lost and driver unable to stop vehicle and crashed into a dump truck. No airbags were deployed, all power was lost. Dealer checked vehicle and said that they could not find anything wrong with the vehicle. Very disturbing failure because the dealer could not find anything wrong with the vehicle to fix and that this could happen again at any time.
