Truck was sold with defective parts on the driver side of vehicle. Steering knuckle, abs sensors, etc. Having to be replaced 2 weeks after buying. Repair shop said vehicle was not maintained, sold in this condition when it could've been noticed and fixed. While driving a week after purchase truck lost steering and braking functionality on the highway and had to be pulled to the side of the road. . Towed to mechanic, oils not be driven.
The contact owns a 2004 Ford F-150. The contact stated that the service engine sensor illuminated intermittently and the brakes failed to work when the brake pedal was applied. The contact had to apply force to the brake pedal to completely stop the vehicle. The brake pedal was difficult to depress to no avail. The contact was not included in NHTSA campaign id number: 08v208000 (service brakes, hydraulic). The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer who diagnosed that the brake booster vacuum supply hose assembly needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was not available.
