Wheel problem #1

The way that the wheel is made it allows for water to seat in the inter groove which then rust hole into the wheel causeing air to leak out of tire and possible driver loosing control of vehicle which almost happened to me at 60 mph on an interstate hwy I was able to pull over in time.

Wheel problem #2

Purchased new tires in Jan 2019 all 4 tires over $1000. (due to slow leaks on 2 tires ) only to have flat tire every morning had to air up tire . Finally you could hear air coming out took back to America tires to ck and was informed that steel Ford rim is cracked on inside they could not legally put tire and rim back on my truck due to safety they said I need to have 3 others also ckd for defect on Ford steel rims weld seperateing and coukd cause severe injury so I sit with new tires on 3 rim that I cant ck xause have no replacement rim s.

Wheel problem #3

I was driving down the interstate on the way to work around 8 pm. When the car in front of my slammed on their brakes. I reacted in accordance and hit my brakes pretty hard. When I did my truck pulled to the left and took me into the median. When I tried to correct my vehicle the back end started sliding out as I tried to get back on the road. When my truck finally caught traction it shot me to the other side of the road where it did the same thing. Sliding the back end out. This time I was sliding perpendicular to the highway and when my truck found something solid to stop the slide it started to roll. During the crash I was thrown through the windshield after the first roll and knocked unconscious. After I was released from the hospital I went to collect the things from my truck that had been picked up. When I got to the vehicle I noticed that non of my airbags hadn't deployed even though it was a pretty serious crash that totaled my truck. The cab and bed of the truck were both crumpled but not a single air bag had deployed.

Wheel problem #4

Bought 2006 Ford f150 had four general tires on it ameritrack tr. P255/70r17 started to notice after a week of driving truck there was so much shaking and vibrations while driving even while under the speed limit . Checked tires to my shock the rubber was splitting and rubber was crumbling apart ran my hands over tire and could pluck pieces of rubber ready to fall of with the strength of 2fingers.

Wheel problem #5

Factory welds on wheels failed causing rapid loss of tire pressure. This has happened two different times on two different wheels.

Wheel problem #6

Tl-the contact owns a 2006 Ford f150. The contact stated that while driving at 35 mph and coming to a complete stop the rear driver side tire on the vehicle failed and rolled into ongoing traffic. The vehicle was unable to be driven the contact called an Ford certified mobile mechanic where the vehicle was diagnosed that the rear rotor and studs had failed and needed to be tightened. The vehicle was repaired. The contact also stated that he had to also replace the steering rack pinion due to the failure. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 136,000. Ec.

Wheel problem #7

My factory tires, bf goodrich long trail t/a, on my Ford F-150 king ranch bought new in 2006 lasted only 21,428 miles. They gave me a lousy $236. And it cost me $708. To replace all 4. Now, 18,270 miles later there are less the 4/32 left on the tread. On a recent oil change, a dealer would not rotate my tires because of the ware. Now I am being told - sorry no warranty left! - I am livid! can anything be done?.

Wheel problem #8

My 2006 Ford f150 has the positraction rear end. Its went out around 25000 to 30000 miles, while the truck was still under warranty and the dealer fixed it no charge. Now the truck has a little over 62000 miles and the rear end has gone out again. Almost exactly the same amount of miles on the rear end. Warranty was up at 60000 miles so its no longer covered. I think this should be looked into as a recall because this is the second time its happened on the same truck.

Wheel problem #9

Slow air leak in tire. Dealer found a crack in the inside of the wheel next to the tire bead. Crack is only on the inside, vertical face of the wheel. This is the first time for this failure on this vehicle since I owned it. The service person offered to sell me a new wheel. I assume this part is oem and has never been replaced. I ordered the new part.

Wheel problem #10

During adverse weather conditions (winter ice and snow, cold temps) my wheels had ice freeze in them creating an impossible steering situation. The design of these wheels allows them to hold about an inch of water about 3 inches in length, when this freezes the result is an out of balance wheel, ( in this case 4 out of balance wheels) making them wobble (vibrate) uncontrollably on icy roads. This caused me to experience a terrifying drive for the 17 miles to town. I believe this could cause an accident with a less experienced driver.
