Two problems related to wheel rim have been reported for the 1999 Ford F-150. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Left front rim is showing signs of stress cracks on the inside. Dealer and manufacturer have been notified. Consumer stated the dealer looked at the rim and stated there were no signs of pothole or curb damage, however the manufacturer stated there must have been some type of damage without even seeing the rim.
Wheel rim broke while driving 50mph. There was no prior warning of a problem. Had maintained control of vehicle, and pulled to side of road.
