1 Brake Master Cylinder problem

Brakes failed on pickup while driving. Repair shop determined master cylinder was faulty.

2 Brake Master Cylinder problem

Failure Date: 05/03/2008

The contact owns a 2006 Ford F-150. While driving 50 mph, the brake pedal extended to the floorboard when he depressed the brake pedal. The dealer stated that the master cylinder caused the failure. The dealer replaced the master cylinder; however, the failure continued to occur. The dealer inspected the vehicle on two occasions but was unable to diagnose the failure. As of may 16, 2008, the deale had not repaired the vehicle. The failure mileage was 21,000 and current mileage was 23,737. Updated 06/16/08.

3 Brake Master Cylinder problem

Failure Date: 01/01/1901

2006 f150 lariat brake pedal felt spongy and goes to the floor when applied. Master cylinder was replaced but did not remedy the problem. The consumer suspected the abs was malfunctioning.
